Douglas Fir is a conifer tree that grows predominantly in the Northwest. Its floral pine aroma with woody tones encourages deep breathing, elevating our spirit while grounding the mind. Alike which hazel, Douglas Fir Hydrasol is a gentle skin toner, tightening and purifying skin. This hydrasol is veritably utilized to cleanse wounds while ameliorating inflammatory responses, used as an natural cleaner, linen refresher, air refresher, and may aid during flu and cold season. 
 
Sunflower Guru cultivates Douglas Fir hydrasol through an extended process of steam distillation of needles and twigs. She gives the plant material four days to break down and release the oils and water solluble components then carefully starts the process of distillation. This can last anywhere from 3 to 5 hours to fully extract the oil and hydrasol from the plant material.
